LANPEC bases its existence on technological innovation. It has accumulated extensive experience and technical capabilities in the fields of petroleum drilling and production machinery, refining and petrochemical equipment, offshore and desert petroleum equipment, light industry and food processing machinery, as well as environmental protection and new energy engineering. The company possesses 7 testing platforms and a Fluid Visualization Analysis (PIV) Laboratory, equipped with 337 sets of advanced domestic and international testing instruments. This enables comprehensive performance testing and experimental research on various types of heat exchangers and drilling/production equipment. With high-performance computing clusters, LANPEC conducts structural R&D design in compliance with international standards (GB, ASME, API, EN, GOST), and performs process design, stress analysis, and fluid dynamics analysis on critical structures to ensure overall equipment reliability. 

As of July 2024, LANPEC has contributed over 1,181 scientific and technological achievements to the nation. These include: 3 National Invention Awards, 4 National Science and Technology Progress Awards, 10 National Science Conference Awards, 3 Major Technical Equipment Achievement Awards, and 181 ministerial (provincial) level Science and Technology Progress Awards.
