FPSO upper module light hydrocarbon treatment and storage equipment

As the storage equipment of LPG system on FPSO, LPG tanks are characterized by large diameter, large volume, many loads and complicated working conditions, etc. LPG tanks have to withstand pressure load, wind load, weight load, hull movement load, internal liquid shaking load and explosion load, etc. The calculation process has to consider various working conditions such as operation test, hydrostatic test, towing conditions, lifting conditions and explosion conditions. The calculation process has to take into account the operating conditions, hydraulic test conditions, 100-year typhoon conditions, towing conditions, lifting conditions and explosion conditions.

The ASME code design + CFD simulation + finite element calibration is adopted for the LPG storage tanks to comprehensively consider the various loads that may be encountered during the life cycle of the equipment.

Deethane and debutane towers are the key equipment of the LPG system on FPSOs and are typically characterized by large height-to-diameter ratios (>15), attached tower platforms, many pipelines, cylindrical skirts, and welded connections between the skirts and the structure.

Compared with land-based towers, the tower on FPSO is subjected to more harsh wind loads, and the hull of the ship is also in constant motion under the action of wind and waves, and the tower on the ship will constantly sway, so it can be called a swaying tower. This is also the first time for the country to undertake similar projects
